consistent: Mantra Monday

Inspired by Christy O at BabytealeavesMantra Monday

Last  week I had a list of things I wanted to have done or started.  I realize the list was not much of a to do list as much as it was a better life list.  I just wanted to focus on my family's need and my home.

This week my Mantra is consistency.
One Meaning says : marked by harmony, regularity, or steady continuity : free from variation or contradiction.

I want to be more consistent in my efforts.  Every few days I tell myself I want to start....getting fit, eating better, writing, knitting, cleaning...ect.

You name it I started it.  I go strong for a few days then I fall short by circumstances beyond my control or I just get distracted.

My mother en-law told me that I have to not allow circumstances or even me, to keep me from doing what I want/ need to do for me.

SO, this week I am working on being consistent!!!!!!

I want this! : Mantra Monday

Inspired by Christy O at Babytealeaves' first Triathlon

This week I have a small list of things I want to have done or started:
  • My family -  I want to set a schedule for my girl and make more time for both my children.
  • My husband - I want to not let down my husband.  He is taking his lunch break to train me.  We are trying to work me up to running.
  • My home -  I want to get my house in order that I don't have to spring clean every week.
  • My writing - I want to start writing everyday by the end of the week!
  • My craftiness - I have two friends preggers = two baby blankets to start knit/ crochet.

My Monday Mantra:  I want this!
So I will work for it / toward my goal!

calm waters: Mantra Monday

Babytealeaves', Mantra Monday

When your nail breaks.  When you drop a dish.   When a red sock gets into your white laundry load.

Most of s say "Why me?  What did I do wrong in a past life to deserve such bad luck.

Well I have noticed myself reacting to these little annoyances like the world is against me.
It is not, and I have decide to make an effort to be calmer.  I would say not to sweat the small stuff, but phrase can not communicate what I mean.   It feels deeper than that.

I feel tension and stress build up when ever I allow myself to be bothered by one of these small life happenings

I want to calm myself.  Irealizes that these little thing are just bumps on my road.  I need to ride them out and enjoy life as a whole.
My Mantra this Monday calm the stormy waters of my emotions!!!

Remembering 4th done past

Laura at Under the Sheets-shhh has pasted her holiday spirit. I agree, let's find out more about each other? Post these four questions, about your favorite Fourth of July memory and your answers on your blog, link back to Under the Sheets-shhh and comment back to her when you’re done. She will link back to your post.
The Four Questions are:
1) Do you have a favorite firework that you wait to see every Fourth of July?
2) Tell me the one Fourth of July memory, that makes you smile.
3) What food do you crave at a Fourth of July picnic?
4) And for my fashionistas, what is the perfect outfit to watch the fireworks in.

Here are my answers***
1) Do you have a favorite firework that you wait to see every Fourth of July?

I love the purple ones ( I just love purple)

2) Tell me the one Fourth of July memory, that makes you smile.

One year my mother and I walked to Center City to watch the fireworks from the Philadelphia's Museum of art. .  It was a so nice.

3) What food do you crave at a Fourth of July Cookout?

Well done not burnt hot dogs!

4) And for my fashionistas, what is the perfect outfit to watch the fireworks in.

Cute but comfortable clothes.  I want to look nice, but I want to be able to have fun and eat without worrying about my clothes.
